Instant Khaman Dhokla
Ingredients:
- 1 cup basen
- half cup suji
- 3 tablespoon sugar
- 3 tablespoon oil
- 1/4th tablespoon salt
- pinch of turmeric powder
- pinch of baking soda
- a small glass of water
- 1 small packet eno
- oil
- mustard
- hing
- curry leaves
- 1 lemon juice
- coriander
- garlic
- green chili
Method:
- Take 1 cup basen, half cup suji, 3 tablespoon oil, 3 tablespoon sugar, 1/4th tablespoon salt, pinch of turmeric powder, pinch of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of green chili, 1 tablespoon garlic, 3 tablespoon lemon juice and 1 glass of water in a large bowl and mix it well, and then leave the batter for 5 minutes, after 5 minutes take a packet of eno and again mix it.
- Take a medium sized bowl and apply oil inside the bowl, take that batter in the bowl in which oil is applied.
- Take cooker and add half glass of water and remove the pressure regulator. and put the batter bowl inside the cooker and put the lid on cooker (without the pressure regulator).
- Put the cooker on stove and put stove to the maximum heat for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes turn off the gas and take the bowl out off the cooker after taking out the bowl you can see results. Then leave it for 5 minutes and after 5 minutes cut them into perfect square.
- Keep aside the bowl and take any small utensil.
Seasoning:
- Heat oil in a small pan over medium heat moderately. Add mustard seeds, and stir for 3-4 seconds,hing, add green chili stir and curry leaves, stir for few seconds. Cover the pan and turn off the heat. Careful curry leaves will splatter.
- Garnish the dhokla with coriander and spread the seasoning over it.
Suggestion:
- Serve it with Green mint chutney.
Note:
When you are mixing batter better you mix it in one direction either left or right.
