Sambhar






1. Ingredients
3/4 cup toovar (arhar) dal

2 drumsticks , cut into 3” pieces
1/2 cup bottle gourd (kaddu) cubes ,caroot ,gavaar .
2 tbsp oil
2 Tesp tamarind palse,
1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
6 to 7 curry leaves (kadi patta)
2 pinches of asafetida (hing)
1 slice onion
3 tbsp sambhar powder
2 tsp chilli powder
of turmeric powder (haldi)
salt to taste
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
          2.     Method
1. Wash the toovar daal thoroughly and drain
2. Combine the washed daal  and  2cups of
Water in a pressure cooker and pressure cook for 3 whistles
3 .Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid
4. smash the daal and mix it boiled vegetable
5 .1 tablespoon  Mirch powder  , 2 tablespoon sambar masala , tamarind pals and mix well.
6. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan add the mustard seed,curry leaves, hing and  sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds.
7.Add  sliced onion and one table spoon turmeric powder  add boiled daal and mix well.
3.       3. For garnishing
Take bowl put sambar in it, and garnish it with  coriander
