Sambhar
1. Ingredients 3/4 cup toovar (arhar) dal 2 drumsticks , cut into 3” pieces 1/2 cup bottle gourd (kaddu) cubes ,caroot ,gavaar . 2 tbsp oil 2 Tesp tamarind palse, 1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson) 6 to 7 curry leaves (kadi patta) 2 pinches of asafetida (hing) 1 slice onion 3 tbsp sambhar powder 2 tsp chilli powder of turmeric powder (haldi) salt to taste 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania) 2 . Method 1. Wash the toovar daal thoroughly and drain 2. Combine the washed daal and 2cups of Water in a pressure cooker and pressure cook for 3 whistles 3 .Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid 4. smash the daal and mix it boiled vegetable 5 .1 tablespoon Mirch powder , 2 tablespoon sambar masala , tamarind pals and mix well. 6.
